In this post, I’m taking you to Hogwarts … yes, Hogwarts.

Ok, so admittedly I’m taking you to the outside of Hogwarts… and it’s going to look a little small …
The tour ends with the scale model of Hogwarts that I believe they used to film all of the exterior shots of the castle that didn’t contain people (clever!) … sadly in my mind, this made it all too real that Hogwarts doesn’t actually exist; so I’m going to pretend they only did this for budget reasons and a real (full size) Hogwarts exists somewhere in the country!!
Anyway, once I’d got past that minor point, I enjoyed the model, it was nice to be able to get an idea of how all the parts of Hogwarts you see in the films fit together!
So that’s that, the end of the tour. I must put a good word in for the obligatory gift shop, it contains a whole host of merchandise that I’ve never seen for sale anywhere else; thus far I’ve purchased 3 poster books and 3 t-shirts all of which were reasonably priced. I could have spent nearly as much time just browsing the shop as I did the rest of the tour!
Having just written this series of eight posts I now can’t wait to book another day trip to relive it all over again!
